"We wanted to build a modern tropical home in Casa de Campo in the D.R. We asked people if they knew an architect with style and experience with this modern minimalistic design. Rafael Selman, of Selman & Associates was recommended. We checked out references, and everyone said he was fantastic and they wanted to do another project with him, they also said he would become your friend.
We made a wish list of all the things we wanted in our “dream” house and discussed them with Rafael. He designed a “casa” for us which incorporated ALL our wishes and more! The design was truly “Tropical Modern” lots of open spaces taking advantage of the climate and vistas. Rafael, and his Team were always attentive and responsible. It is not easy to build a home in the Dominican when you live in Canada, but Rafael and his team made it a wonderful experience for us. They communicated with us by email regularly, and were always ready to meet us when we visited Casa de Campo.
What impressed us was the degree of education (excuse the pun) that the team possessed—and the professional approach. We have designed and built other homes, this is the most professional, accredited group that we have worked with. We will say that Selman & Associates is a truly professional and responsible operation and we would strongly recommend a working relationship. It has been a pleasure to work with them and we thank them for designing our beautiful Tropical Modern home."
